Voter Revolts

The “voter revolts” by write-in: Ward 6 GOP primary in 1981 in which Judy Herold defeated long-term incumbent, Griffin Miller; and the general election in Ward 7 in 1991 that elected Democrat Chuck Bolig over long-term GOP incumbent William Webster; Herold went on serve for 34 years, the longest tenure of any Upper Dublin commissioner; Bolig, on the other hand, was defeated when he ran for reelection;

Beginning in 2008 Upper Dublin United’s impact through use of the Internet and social media to insert a strong conservative voice in Upper Dublin’s increasingly Democratic political environment.
