Demise of Community-based Organizations

In 2023 the Ft. Washington Business Alliance, formerly named Fort Washington Office Park Advisory Council (named by UD Commissioners as an advisory body to Township in 1995), ceased to exist. Similar fates had come to local civic organizations, such as the Maple Glen Civic Association. In all likelihood, each was a victim of social networking and, more generally, Internet technology.
