The Public Library
In the 1830s the Union Library Company of Upper Dublin was formed. Mary Hough, Union Library Company of Upper Dublin, Ambler Gazette (1834). A century later that institution merged with the Ambler Public Library. By that time Upper Dublin had two of its own libraries, one at the East Oreland School, with its own Library Board, and a second located at North Glenside School. CITE The library moved to Jarrettown School, then Sandy Run Elementary School (Junior High School), then to Township Building, ultimately to its present location at the former Rhone-Poulenc Rorer offices.
